Product ownership is a rapidly evolving role. The fundamental goal of Product Ownership is to maximize value and minimize effort.  Growing awareness of the impact customer perspective plays in product success has led to the need for an expanded view of traditional product ownership. The Product Owner Analyst role is designed to assist the team in creating exceptional products and services, focused on the customer, utilizing practices from a range of domains.
This presentation reviews the Product Ownership Analysis role. It compares traditional product ownership and business analysis to the expanded practice of the product owner analyst.  Finally, it covers key concepts and frameworks outlined in the IIBA’s Guide to Product Ownership Analysis.
Participants should leave with a clear understanding of Product Ownership Analysis, a new perspective on how business analysis and product ownership work hand in hand, and the tools needed to begin their owner CPOA certification journey.
